RULES
due to the structure of barryvision, once you enter any edition, you will be required to submit all songs/votes by the deadline.
there will be no exceptions. failure to submit on time will result in disqualification.
your eligibility to enter in another edition of barryvision may also be affected if this is a repeated problem.
all final decisions on placement, song choice, etc., are made by ry.
please ensure the above is clear before committing to any edition.

deadlines may be extended according to ry's schedule and they will inform you as early as possible if that is the case.
the theme rules are a guideline - the official rules will be posted on the scheduled day for that edition's announcement. basically rules are subject to change.
the general schedule is:
theme announcement 2 days in advance
3 days for country/etc selection
2 days to finalize song submissions
5 days for voting
next theme announcement
results posted 1 day after voting deadline
in the best case scenario, it should be possible to finish all planned editions of barryvision within summer 2020 - however, due to life, some later editions might be cancelled or rescheduled.

THEMES
1. langvision
: each entrant will reserve a language in place of a country
: the submitted song must have the majority of its lyrics in that language
: two people cannot have the same language, but different dialects are ok (ex. spanish and catalan)
: songs should be from 2000-present, and 100M views maximum
2. livevision
: each entrant will reserve a country
: the submitted song must be a live performance performed by an artist with strong ties to the chosen country
: songs should have 100M views maximum in their most viewed version, either studio or live
: voters are encouraged to rank by the performance as well as the song
3. nativision
: each entrant will reserve a country
: the submitted song should showcase traditional/unique/etc. musical styles from their chosen country and be performed by an artist with strong ties to the chosen country
: songs should have 100M views maximum
4. tubervision
: each entrant will choose a youtube content creator
: the submitted song should be performed by the creator
: songs should have 100M views maximum
: if the submitted song is a cover, the points given to that song will be reduced based on the amount of views that the original song has
5.popvision
: each entrant will reserve a country
: songs must be performed by an artist with strong ties to the chosen country
: songs must have OVER 100M views
6. forevision
: each entrant will submit a list of three of their favorite musical artists
: the lists will be compiled anonymously and revealed once all entrants have submitted their list
: each entrant will reserve a country once the tastes of their fellow entrants have been revealed
: the submitted song must be performed by an artist with strong ties to the chosen country
: songs should have 10M views maximum. yes, ten.
7.goldvision
: each entrant will reserve a musical artist
: the submitted song must be performed by that artist and be from before 2000
8.barryvision
: each entrant will reserve a country that has already competed in eurovision
: the submitted song must be performed by an artist with strong ties to the chosen country
: songs should be from 2019-present and have 1M views maximum
*. allstarvision
: each entrant will enter as themselves
: entrants can submit any song they have previously competed with
: entrants are strongly encouraged to send their highest placing song (if you won more than once, pick your favorite)
: entrants who have won previous editions of barryvision will be invited back with their winning song
